The Open Access movement has gained momentum and online electronic publishing is generating new avenues for communication. These changes have created opportunities for universities to increase access to the results research, develop and publish their own journals and monographs, and to share their raw data in order to enable new research. During Open Access week 2012 Shana Kimball, Head of Publishing Services from the the University of Michigan's MPublishing, will be giving a public talk on academic publishing, open access and the development and impact of MPublishing at the University of Michigan. More details we be released as they become available. There will be time for  refreshments and conversation following the talk. We would love to see you there, so set aside some time on your calendars to come out!
