OA Week Activities at USU

In our second year of participating in OA Week, Utah State University has the following activities planned for our table in the Library foyer: posters highlighting national and local stories on open access, Sparc literature, some freebies, treats, a t-shirt drawing, teaser information about Sparky Awards coming spring 2011, and of course the table will be staffed by members of the University Copyright Committee and the Library's fearless Reference Liasons.

Open Access Week is A great Idea and An avenue to promote use of Electronic Resources

Creating awareness to open access to users will go along way to supplement printed information sources especially in libraries with limited budgets as well as making accessible current information to students researchers and lecturers as well as other practitioners in other fields.

The Graduate School of Library and Information Science, Simmons College celebrates!

During the OAW '09 GSLIS students singed the "Student Statement on the Right to Research" and this year are much more aware of the OA benefits. student participation at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT)

The JKUAT library is working with JKUAT students to come up with ideas for participation in the OA week. They plan to come up with fun events to help advocate for OA.
