Lunch and Learn about the Library's Open Access Agreements

  • Virtual Omaha, NE United States (map)

In celebration of Open Access Week (October 21 - 27), join us to learn more about open access and how the library can help you make your work accessible.

Knowledge and research are meant to be shared and built upon. This is the core value of Open Access and it reveres community over commercialization. It the dissemination of research and creative works with the paywall structure removed, making work freely accessible and available to use world-wide. Making your work open access can lead to collaborations, increased citations, and the expanse of ideas and knowledge.

Join us for a virtual Lunch and Learn about the Library’s Open Access Publishing Agreements and how the library helps make your work accessible. This workshop will cover the basics of Open Access, how DigitalCommon@UNO can make work open and accessible, and the Open Access Publishing Agreements through the library that allows you to publish Open Access at little or no cost.

You bring your lunch and the library’s Institutional Repository Coordinator will bring all the information. For more information contact Jennie Tobler-Gaston at jenniegaston[at]unomaha.edu.
