In 2016, the Hamburg State and University Library (SUB) published its Open Access Policy and issued licensing recommendations for its employees on how to publish Open Access. In 2022 – after six years of experience – we reviewed those guidelines. We improved the wording and implemented standards according to the current open licensing practise. Media attorney Ina Kaulen who was involved in implementing them as representative of the working unit Open Science at the SUB, outlines these new guidelines.
