Open Access Policy at Busitema University: Conducting Consultative Meetings with Academic Staff on the draft of the Open Access Policy for Busitema University; Launching the Knowledge Management System to manage research processes, and Journal Management System to manage publishing process for the open access journal
Busitema University will celebrate Open Access Week through a series of activities to develop and promote the Open Access Policy. First, Led by the University Librarian, Dr. Fredrick Kiwuwa Lugya the Open Access Policy Committee shall conduct consultative Zoom meetings with the academic staff from all the Campuses to discuss the draft policy. The consultative meetings shall be launched by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul Waako on Monday, October 31st, 2022 and thereafter a series of meetings will held via Zoom. The climax of the Open Access Week will be on Friday November 4, 2022 with three events:
a) The launch of the Knowledge management system to manage Busitema University research processes
b) The launch of the Journal Management System to manage the publishing of the Busitema University Open Access Journal
c) Presenting a brief report of the consultative meetings with academic staff on the draft of the open access policy at Busitema University.
